Couple #4 - Jessica & Justin
from South County

Justin and I are your classic couple. We started dating in 2002 through friends. He said "I love you" after a month and won my heart from there.

We're high school sweethearts graduating college in May. Justin's pursuing a firefighting career, enrolling in paramedic school in the fall. I'm graduating with a Bachelor's in Legal Studies.

We've worked and gone to school full time and Justin volunteers at the Antonia Fire Department.

We're deserving of the MEGA wedding because we've strived to make a future and can't wait to start it. We'd love a fairytale wedding for "icing" our relationship cake!

FINAL BLOG

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped Justin and I get this far. It has truly been an amazing and fun experience! We may not get a "mega" wedding but we will still have the wedding of our dreams just by being able to marry each other! So look for a "semi-mega" wedding in October 2009! Thank you again for giving us a memory few couples will ever be able to have!

Day 10

Justin and I had butterflies all morning today. Then when we heard the announcement we both were so excited! Immediately text messages and e-mails went out once again. I posted a notice of my company's website to let them know to keep up the good work. Myspace and facebook messages were posted as well. We had to print off more flyers because Justin ran out a work. Good luck to couple #5 in your future marriage, you two were excellent competitors. KEEP VOTING FOR US, ST. LOUIS!! Thank you!

Day 9

What a day!! I was so nervous this morning worrying about the cut and when I heard we made it, I couldn't sit still in my seat! Couple 1, you two did a great job! Today, mass e-mails and text messages went out immediately. Bulletins on myspace and messages on facebook were also made so people could get the word out as fast as possible! Tonight I had dinner with a friend so we passed out flyers at the restaurant. Justin and his friend went to class with their t-shirts on and are passing out flyers. My parents went around town to hang up more signs. It has just been a great day and I'm hoping tomorrow is even better. Thank you St. Louis!!

Day 8

Today, Justin and my brother ran around South County posting signs on telephone poles and whatever else they could find. My aunt put up a huge banner in her store window on Manchester so people could drive by and take a look. I keep hearing of more and more people voting for us, so it really keeps my momentum up! This week has felt like it has flown by and I can't believe it was only last Monday that this whirlwind race began. Hopefully, I'll be blogging tomorrow! Thank you for the amazing adventure St. Louis!

Day 7

We put signs on my parents' cars. In the afternoon, we went and tried on wedding gowns! It was the first time I have put on a wedding dress so it was really exciting! They were all so beautiful so it was hard not to try on every dress they had in the store! It was fun meeting all the girls and getting to put a face to a couple number. :) Putting on a wedding dress just made everything feel so real. I wanted to wear one of the dresses right out of the store and go get married!

Day 6

Today, we tried going to the Galleria to pass out flyers but we were told the mall doesn't allow flyering. We will still able to talk to 35 to 40 people before we had to go so it was a good effort. A few of my friends took some flyers to pass out at their churches, to friends, and wherever else they might go. Justin's work is continuing to pass out flyers to customers as they come into the store. My mom and I also went to her work to vote on the computers they have there.

Day 5

Friday night was an awesome night! We went to the rodeo at the St. Charles Family Arena, there wasn't a lot of people there but we did get a good response from the people who were there. Everybody had on the t-shirts I made to help us get votes. I wore a cowboy hat with a veil attached. That got a lot of attention so we were able to hand out flyers and ask for people to vote for us. Afterwords, we went to the phoenix in South County where we were able to bring in some more votes! Saturday should be another great promotional day! Keep a watch out for us St. Louis!

Day 4

Tonight, four friends and I went to the Blues game and stood outside in the cold to hand out flyers. Justin had to attend class but he was sending me messages all night to see how we were doing. We got a good response from most of the people we encountered. I'm pretty sure I lost my voice but we'll have to see what tomorrow brings. Justin and I were going to go to the Channel 5 window but they don't do that during the winter season. Text messages and e-mails are going out daily. I heard on the radio that already 50,000 votes have been cast and that number just astounds me! It's exciting to see how people are getting really into this contest. Keep up the big numbers St. Louis!

Day 2

Today, I was really pumped! I made plans with all my friends and family about places we were going to go to this weekend. We had 1,000 flyers printed off and more t-shirts are being made. I bought window paint to put on every car window I can get ahold of! Every day I get more and more excited because the dream of getting to marry Justin becomes more of a reality! Our support keeps growing and it really makes me thankful for all the wonderful people we have in our lives. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and Justin and I are loving every minute of it. THANK YOU AND KEEP VOTING!

Day 2

Last night I was up really late making t-shirts but I love them and they look so cool! I sent out another mass text message to remind people to vote today. Justin and I contacted the civic organizations we are former members of and they have spots dedicated on their websites asking people to vote for us - www.missouriiojd.org under the items of note and on the front page of www.modemolay.org! Last night I created a group on facebook and Justin and I sent bulletins out on myspace. Justin's work handed out flyers to every customer that came into the store and got a great response from everyone. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO IS HELPING US WIN THIS DREAM WEDDING EITHER BY VOTING AND/OR PASSING ON THE MESSAGE! We couldn't do it without you!

Day 1

Today we an incredibily exciting and busy day! As soon as I got the call from the morning show, I immediately called my mom so she could start printing off flyers. Then I called Justin so he could recruit help to run around town and pass them out on his day off. I sent mass e-mails and text messages to my friends and family and told them to vote and pass it on to everyone they know! Start looking for flyers around the South County and Jefferson County area! We're still working on other promotional plans and trying to get our name out as much as possible!! I have been so jumpy and excited all day, it was hard to concentrate on work! My phone and e-mail was going all day long and I couldn't be happier, keep it coming!
